God’s Perestroika!

This appears to be your first visit to the SLM website — Welcome! We hope you enjoy your visit! The centerpiece of this post is a prophetic message I delivered in December, 1988. The date of the delivery of the message is significant because the message predicted major governmental debacle and dismantling that would be […]

Demigod Leaders

WARNING! God’s putting His prophetic finger on a major problem plaguing the Church Jesus is building! Celebrity cult-status leaders — who act like spiritual divas and present themselves as demigods, based in arrogance, ascendancy, supremacy, and narcissism that has convinced them they are better and above everyone else — are on the rise in the American Church. You’ve seen them…they’re so important that, like “gangsta” subculture “homies” or mob mafiosos, they must be accompanied by an entourage of sycophants and bodyguards wherever they go to enforce their inaccessibility—even to peers, staff, and collegues—and to reinforce their self-proclaimed status and public image. Unaccountable islands to themselves who can’t be bothered with the mere plebian masses. “Wandering stars, for whom the black darkness has been reserved forever,” Jude called their ilk.

The Generation That Shall Not Pass Away!

The adoption of UN General Assembly Resolution 181 by the narrowest of margins on November 29, 1947 paved the way for the recognition of Israel as a nation by the existing global community of nations, which was followed by the Israeli Declaration of Independence on May 14, 1948, officially declaring the establishment of the new […]

Egotism and Narcissism in Ministry

Over time in the ministry you have opportunities to meet and know people in various forms of ministry and ancillary fields of endeavor such as Christian entertainment of various levels of notoriety. My beginnings in the ministry afforded me perhaps more opportunities than most in that regard. One of the observations I was forced to […]

Disarmament or Discernment?

Cajoling the foe to disarm, thereby rendering him defenseless against his diabolic deceptions and dastardly designs of captivation, has been the ploy of the enemy for time immemorial, whether in the sociological systems of the world or the polity of the Church. Relative to the latter, Satan’s obsession is to disarm believers of the “weapons […]

Mystery of the Kingdom, By Dr. Steven Lambert

Paying The Price

These people indeed are only temporary believers. They are willing to respond affirmatively to the Gospel in order to be saved and to escape Hell. But, they are not willing to effect a complete surrender and repentance. Nor are they willing to die totally to self and sin, and relinquish lordship over their own lives. Some are willing to effect a superficial repentance of surface sins, but not a complete repentance of the evil motivations which pervade the unredeemed soul. Much less are they willing to offensively resist the enemy on the battlefield of temptation, affliction, and persecution, in order to follow after Jesus.

Fast From Judging

Are you pondering why your version of Christianity doesn’t quite feel like the abundant life Jesus promised? (See John 10.) Perhaps it is because you are too judgmental. The good news, however, is this: mercy triumphs over judgment. If you know you are a sinner and that there are areas wrong in you life, yet you strive to be merciful, God promises He will respond to you as you have responded to others. The areas in your heart that need mercy will find healing in the life God grants to the merciful.

Prophets–God’s Change Agents

One of the tribes of Israel, the sons of Issachar, were “men who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do” (1 Chrn. 12:32). Prophets are spiritual “sons of Issachar.” The spiritual inheritance of that tribe is alive within them. They have a special anointing for discerning the times and knowing when God is bringing forth new things, new paradigms, and bringing the Church into new dimensions of the Spirit.

Demonized People Need More Than “Religious Bandages”

This is the third part in a series on the subject of deliverance written by my good friend, Charles Carrin. As best as I can recall, I believe it was in the mid-90s when I first had the great honor and privilege of meeting Charles Carrin. The first night I met him at the church […]

Beware of the Angry Watchmen

There is a false revival on the rise. It is the rise of the angry watchman who will cast stones at those who have gone astray from the Lord. This false revival consists of ministers who have led people away from the truth through legalism and a misguided prosperity gospel. They will forbid and command prodigals not to come into the presence of God until you work your way back into His favor through human effort and religion. We must not remove the veil from the bride of Christ. We have a righteousness that cannot be taken away from us because Jesus is our veil.

Deliverance Ministry May Be Your Answer

CLICK HERE if you think you might need deliverance. By Charles Carrin [Mar 18, 2010] I spoke at a Conference in Tennessee recently and afterward, [didacted by publisher], a brother long-acknowledged for his prophetic gift, asked that I minister deliverance to those in the congregation suffering from depression. When I gave the opportunity more than […]

The Children’s Bread

The Great Commission: And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, […]

Warning To The Super-Apostles

A newly formed “apostolic network” of self-appointed super-apostles meets clandestinely in Florida to divvy up the nation into apostolic regions, or apostolates, and appoint certain member apostles as the arch-apostles over those territories. (more…)

Examining Biblical Authority

There is no matter more central and critical to spiritual knowledge and understanding than the matter of authority. One cannot even begin to have a proper understanding of the realm of the Kingdom of God as well as the genuine Gospel of the Kingdom, which the Gospel writers expressly indicated Jesus preached during His fleshly ministry, without having an understanding of the matter of authority.

The Purview of Apostolic Authority

Not long ago, I received an email from a subscriber who was asking me for answers to some questions he had concerning some troubling issues related to the nascent apostolic renewal. It was not until I was finishing the last paragraph of my response that I heard the Spirit tell me to post my answer […]

The Picture Of A Prophet

Oh, how desperately the Church, including the Neo-Pentecostal Church, in this last hour when a horde ascribe unto themselves the title “prophet,” needs a full-color picture of a genuine black-and-white prophet, to portray to its constituency what one looks like, to allow them to fully receive “the reward” or benefits of a genuine prophet, instead of the cheap thrills dispensed by diluted and often deluded imitations circulating around the church scene these days. To accurately differentiate the genuine from the counterfeit, chances are it’s going to “take one to know one.” The late Leonard Ravenhill certainly was one, and before his death, fortunately for us, he snapped “the picture of a prophet” for us all to see and contemplate.

The Church’s Greatest Need

“The Glory of the Latter House shall be greater than the Former!” (Hag. 2:9) The hour we live in without equivocation is the most spiritually profound of all of history, and certainly of all “His-story.” Indeed, it can be no less when we are told that all of the historical Biblical events comprising His-story—i.e., the […]

Judgment Prophets

In the mid 1980s God began restoring the office of the prophet back into its rightful and proper place of function in the Church that Jesus is building. Today, thousands of churches and ministers accept and themselves advocate this premise. But is there such a thing as “judgment prophets” today in the New Testament era. Even within Charismatic and Neo-Pentecostal churches espousing the validity of the prophetic and apostolic offices in today’s ecclesia, the issue of the prospect of judgment prophets being anointed, appointed, and sent by God with a special message from Him and equipped with supernatural powers such as what Moses was given by God produces sharp and sometime contentiousness debate. So, do judgment prophets exist today? Here’s one perspective.

Prophetic Purpose

With all the proliferation and promotion of the prophetic that is happily taking place now in some streams and camps of the Church, it is critical that we understand what the true purpose of the prophetic really is. Some prophetic novices and new prophetic groups appear to think that prophecy itself, whether in the form of personal prophesying over people or publishing prophecies on the Internet, for example, is the goal of the prophetic. Moreover, the actions, attitudes, and speech of some regarding the prophetic seem to indicate they think that the prophetic is an end in itself. But, it’s not.
