Seminar #1: Prophetic Basic Training

 
I. What
  1. Instruction: Instruction portion of a complete course on the prophetic gifts and office (see Overview). This is the first seminar in a series of prophetic seminars (info posted at a later date).
  2. Textbook: The Prophetic Gifts and Office–A Biblical Perspective.
  3. Author/Instructor: Steven Lambert, ThD (info below) [and other affiliated prophetic instructors as they become certified}.
  4. Certificate of Completion: All students attending the course and completing the open-book exam receive a framable Certificate of Completion, acknowledging their training at this level of prophetic preparation, which qualifying them for the next level of preparation.
  5. College Credit: Students may receive college credit (3 Credit Hours) for course upon completion of additional course work.
  6. Prophetic Consulting: Instructor is available for consulting with church leadership regarding oversight, development, and deployment of the prophetic arm/army within the local church.
  7. Prophetic Mentoring: Instructor available for ongoing mentoring of inhouse prophetic people under the auspices of and in concert with the church leadership.

III. Who
  1. Churches, Church plants, prophetic groups and schools, training institutes, Bible colleges, et al.
  2. Open to all registered adults (18+).
II. Why
  1. To educate believers regarding the prophetic gifts and office, and their proper operation—"properly and in an orderly manner" (1 Cor. 14:40, NASV).
  2. To encourage prophetically-gifted believers to properly "employ" their God-bestowed spiritual gifts "in serving one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God" (1 Pet. 4:10).
  3. To edify [lit., build up, charge up as a battery] the corporate local church, spiritually, for "one who prophesies edifies the church" (1 Cor. 14:4).
  4. To edify, exhort, and encourage individual members of the local body through the proper operation of prophetic giftings, for "one who prophesies speaks to men for edification, exhortation, and comfort (encouragement)" (1 Cor. 14:3).
  5. To enhance, enlarge, enlarge the local church through the effective release and deployment of the prophetic giftings set in the church by God for its building up (both numerically and spiritually).
  6. To empower and encourage church leaders to confidently release the prophetic giftings and resources within their local church for the ultimate purpose of building the local church.
  7. To enlighten leaders on how to effectively deploy and derive maximum benefit from the resident prophetic arm/army of the local body.
  8. To effect the release of the prophetic dimension effectively within the local church, thereby producing the results/benefits it naturally produces when properly deployed in concinnity with the other four ministry dimensions.
Instructor: Dr. Steven Lambert
Steven Lambert, ThD Dr. Steven Lambert has been blessing the Church for more than a quarter of a century of fruitful pastoral, prophetic, teaching, counseling/deliverance, writing/editing, and music ministry. Born in 1948, and Born Again and Spirit-Baptized in 1976, he is an ordained minister, holds several earned theological degrees, is a certified adjunct professor, a Board Certified Doctoral Diplomate Christian Counselor, a singer, musician, and songwriter, and has produced, hosted, and/or appeared on many Christian television and radio programs as well as secular news programs as an expert commentator on Christian cults and authoritarian abuse. He founded churches in three cities and a Christian university extension campus. He serves as the Executive Director of Concinnity Network, a fellowship of Fivefold Ministers and Christian Workers relating and colaboring in common purposes, is the author of numerous books, booklets, courses, and published articles (Catalog), and is a "Holy"-ghost writer. One of his primary present emphases is working with church leaders to develop the resident prophetic arm/army through prophetic impartation, teaching, training, consulting, and mentoring of inhouse prophetic leadership under the auspices of the local church leadership. He is also laboring to establish schools of ministry in various regions of the country, in partnership with local church leaders. [Full bio.]
