A Story of Redemption and Restoration

Preface: It is truly a sad commentary on the society mankind has engendered at the dawn of the 21st Century—the Age of Technology and Information—driven as it is by a ubiquitous voracious craving for information about everyone and anyone, more often than not for ignoble purposes, that an article such as this needs to be written and published. In a span of a decade or so, the World Wide Web has morphed into a "Beast" in some ways even more horrific than what apocalyptic preachers on the Beast of Revelation envisioned decades before the invention of the personal computer. It has become a technological Frankenstein, a thoroughly impassionate and impudent monster that fiendishly invades people's private lives, ruthlessly thrusting aside any vestiges of privacy—that ethereal precept once esteemed almost sacrosanct in noble and God-fearing societies—in frenzied search of all the informational dirt that can be scrounged up, void of any semblance of regard for the pain or injury such barbaric intrusion inflicts upon the invaded. But, that is the miserable state of affairs today. Nothing is private anymore. Nothing is personal or out of bounds to the prying eyes and itching ears of demon-inspired people hell-bent on defaming and maligning everyone who is a "public figure" of any sort or measure. To some twisted and demented people who apparently have nothing better to do with their time, uncovering and publishing the details of the personal tragedy of the private lives of public figures in hopes of adding to their suffering has become their new Technology Age sport, and the Internet, with its ability to anonymously publish libelous websites, has become the modern-day form of public stocks.

Such has been the scenario for this ministry for the last four years at the hands of one family of demon-possessed deceivers who have set out to do all their demon-inspired minds can conjure up in hopes of bringing harm to this ministry and pain to its principals. God's judgment and the meting out of His fierce vengeance upon those offenders is an absolute certainty. The wicked and totally false accusations and evil malignment of these few individuals whose primary motivation is their own covetousness and the age-old root of all evil, the love of money, unfortunately, have made it necessary to publicly address the matter of this article, which otherwise would be a matter that, like the myriad of others who have suffered similar personal tragedies, the principals would desire to suffer privately. Somehow, in their madness, these enemies of Christ have concluded that their hysterical compulsion to attempt to recover freewill contributions freely made to this ministry by one of their family members trumps the right of the principals of this ministry to privacy and to suffer in private.

To those who are so self-deceived as to think they are sufficiently righteous and sinless themselves so as to become the judge of another, is given the story of the woman caught in adultery who was brought to Jesus by her accusers, who one by one began slithering off like the brood of vipers they were as Jesus wrote their personal sins in the sand, and then calling out, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone!" The result was that soon, the woman stood there alone with Jesus, her wicked and self-righteous accusers now all gone, and Jesus asked, "Woman, where are your accusers?" To which she replied, "I have none, Lord!" As with that story, the story you are about to read, is truly a story of redemption and restoration!

The Story
In 1996, shortly after their twentieth wedding anniversary, Dr. Lambert's beloved wife, Sandy, began suffering a series of fierce demonic attacks against her body and soul, which she now openly admits came partially as a result of a number of spiritual issues she had struggled with and failed to deal with properly.

The physical attacks began with a serious fall caused by a demonic spirit that suddenly attacked her. While recovering from her injuries, she was attacked with severe bronchitis that eventuated in an acute episode of CHF that almost took her life. Simultaneous with the CHF came a host of other mysterious medical maladies that were completely baffling to the many doctors who were brought into her case. These vicious attacks, in her weakened state, profoundly impacted her psychologically, requiring medical treatment.

The next eight years a gradual downward spiral transpired, affecting every aspect of Sandy's being—spirit, soul, and body—causing a host of circumstances that must remain private. The monstrous medical expenses Sandy's illnesses engendered decimated the Lamberts financially as well. Tragically, after eight years of demonic assault upon both their lives, as well as Dr. Lambert's ministry, it became abundantly clear to both of them that their marriage had become totally untenable and would not be salvaged in the foreseeable future. In 2004, by agreement, their marriage was dissolved by order of a judge who duly reviewed their jointly-filed petition and was satisfied that it was fair and compliant all applicable laws.

Ironically, as painful as their separation after three decades of companionship was, in the process of time, it was that separation, according to her own testimony, that was very instrumental in Sandy's subsequent gradual recovery. Today, Sandy, is as recovered as she can be apart from miraculous intervention, which many continue to pray for. Again by her own testimony, she has gone through a period of severe remorse and sorrow for her failures, from which she has genuinely repented before the Lord and received complete forgiveness and restoration from Him as well as from Dr. Lambert. She has told many people many times that her main issue during the years of difficulty prior to the end of their marriage had to do with matters common to Christian ministry, in particular the maltreatment ministers and their families are required to endure, and that she had grown increasingly weary of same, and therefore was wanting Dr. Lambert to retire from ministry and was doing a number of things that, in her thinking at the time, she believed would "force" him to leave the ministry and seek other employment. As indicated earlier, she now knows all that thinking as well as the actions she took were wrong and ungodly.

Sandy and Dr. Lambert communicate with one another regularly, they intercede for one another, help each other in various ways, respect and honor one another, desire God's highest and best for one another, and maintain an agape-love for one another that only long-time companions and comrades in spiritual warfare can understand.

Though sadness and sorrow accompanies such scenarios, nevertheless, scrambled eggs cannot be unscrambled. Some things in life cannot be undone once they are done. Once having put our hand to the plow, we cannot look back; remember Lot's wife. People who love God, in the face of such circumstances have no choice but to do what scripture says, "press forward toward the mark of the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." It is not God's will that we spend the rest of our lives in mourning and sorrow. Rather, we must pick ourselves up and do the best we can to resume our service to God, knowing that when we reach our final destination, as true believers, all these earthly things will be made right by the loving and merciful God we serve. The people involved must repent of any resentment or bitterness, and totally forgive. Likewise, all onlookers must repent of their judgmentalism, criticism, and being a busy-body, involving themselves in matters that are none of their business. Such matters are between the parties involved and God, alone.

Matthew 7
Judging Others
1 "Do not judge, or you too will be judged.
2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
3 "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
4 How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?
5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.

Today, Sandy, remains one of Dr. Lambert's greatest fans, supporters, and intercessors, for him and his ministry and calling. She has attended some of his ministry meetings over the last few years, to the dismay of some other attendees, in which she testified about her belief in Dr. Lambert and the validity of his ministry, as well as ministered strongly in the Spirit to many in attendance as well. This article was written and published with Sandy's full knowledge and concurrence.

In the natural, among carnal humans, especially carnal religious people, the stigma and repercussions of divorce never abate, but in the Spirit realm, there is real forgiveness, reconciliation, and restoration nonetheless, both man-ward and God-ward.

"All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven men..." (Mat. 12:31).
